Who is this course for?
This course is for teachers and educational professionals who want to develop their English language skills while gaining a deeper understanding of Irish life and culture. It welcomes participants from a wide range of backgrounds and subject areas, not just language teachers. Participants must have at least an intermediate (B1) level of English.
Format
This Language, Culture & Communication course is a one-week course consisting of 20 lessons, plus 5 integrated off-site activities or excursions as part of an extensive cultural and social programme.

Methodology
This is a dynamic, communicative course that places language learning in a rich cultural context. Sessions encourage active participation through discussion, pair work, and group activities, drawing on topics rooted in Irish life and society.
Participants will also take part in a range of afternoon activities, putting their language skills to use in informal settings outside the classroom and deepening their knowledge of contemporary Ireland.

The Language, Culture & Communication course has two main components:
For group bookings, to ensure your course meets your development objectives, the schedule of sessions on every course is drawn up and agreed with each group of participants and Erasmus Plus coordinators on the basis of pre-course training needs analysis questionnaires.

Follow Up
Participants on the course are encouraged to keep in contact, sharing materials and experiences when back in their own classrooms. Follow-up contact is made with the participants after completion of the course to gather feedback on the effectiveness of the classroom activities presented and on how their teaching practice has been developed.
