Who is this course for?
This is an intensive professional training course for administrative staff working in schools, VET colleges, universities and other education institutions who need English to regularly interact effectively with students, colleagues and other stakeholders.
Format
This English for Admin Staff course is a one-week course consisting of 20 lessons of General English, plus 6 lessons of Administrative Topics, plus 3 integrated off-site activities or excursions as part of an extensive cultural and social programme.

Available every week all year round from January to December (Dublin).
Course Aims
Methodology
This is a practical course which uses real-life tasks. Participants completing the course will return home with knowledge and skills to apply in the workplace.
Participants are expected to actively participate in the sessions, reflecting on their own beliefs and practice, and sharing thoughts, ideas and expertise in pair work, small groups and with the group as a whole.
During the course participants will also take part in a range of activities where they will be encouraged to develop their language skills in a more informal environment outside the classroom and further enhance their knowledge of contemporary Ireland.

Follow Up
Participants on the course are encouraged to keep in contact, sharing materials and experiences when back in their own classrooms. Follow-up contact is made with the participants after completion of the course to gather feedback on the effectiveness of the classroom activities presented and on how their teaching practice has been developed.
