Atlas Language School in Malta is located in Pembroke, a very small town of around 2.3 sq km in the northern region of Malta. It is known as one of the newest localities in Malta. Pembroke used to be a British military base from the 1850s until 1979, so you can still see some remains of its British influence today.

The location of our language school in Malta is ideal. The area is quiet, safe, and close to beautiful natural spaces such as the Pembroke Natura 2000 Site, where you can go for a walk, have lunch by the rocky beach, or simply enjoy the weather. It is also an amazing place to watch the sunset, so we highly recommend visiting this part of Pembroke.

Pembroke is a peaceful locality in northern Malta, surrounded by schools and green areas, making it an ideal place for learning English in Malta. It offers a calm environment while still being close to key student and entertainment areas like St Julian’s and Paceville.

What is around Atlas Language School in Malta?

Atlas Language School in Malta is surrounded by many different schools, which makes the area very safe and student-friendly. Nearby, you can find language schools as well as primary and secondary schools. Just a few minutes from the school, there are many options for lunch or coffee, including The Hub Cafe, Brunch Brunch, Pjazza nineteen02, and Bottega Vecchiarelli (our current location for Welcome Drink for new students).  You can find more cafés near our school here, all within approximately 3-15 minutes walking distance.

The walking distance between the school and our Atlas student apartments is around 15-20 minutes, making it very convenient for students.

How far is St Julian’s and Paceville from the school?

Paceville, the main nightlife area of Malta with clubs and entertainment venues, is around 20 minutes from Atlas Language School in Malta. Nearby, you can also find The Eden – a cinema and entertainment complex offering bowling, laser tag, karaoke, darts, and many more activities – as well as Mercury Tower, currently the tallest building in Malta at 122 metres, with beautiful views. The Bay Street Shopping Centre is also close by, where you can enjoy a coffee or go shopping. To the south- east of Pembroke is St Julian’s, where you can grab something to eat, have a coffee, or enjoy a long coastal walk along the promenade towards Sliema or Gzira. St Julian’s is also a great place to socialise and meet new people to practise English every day  from dance classes to social events or karaoke.

Distance 

The distance between Atlas Language School in Malta, Paceville, and St Julian’s is definitely walkable. If you prefer using public transport, there are plenty of options. The nearest bus stop is Pembroke Park & Ride, where you can find buses going to Paceville, St Julian’s, and Sliema. If you are thinking of coming to Atlas Language School in Malta, you can choose between our student apartments, a host family, or your own accommodation. Walkability is also an important part of student life in Malta – our Atlas student apartments are located within approximately a 15-minute walk from the school, making daily commuting easy and convenient.
