Teach at Atlas Dublin

We are seeking teachers with CertTESOL / CELTA / DipTESOL / DELTA qualifications (or equivalent alternative) to join our teaching team. We are looking for teachers who are enthusiastic, flexible, professional and dedicated team players.

Teachers of English to adults (year-round)
The adult year-round school is located in Portobello House right in front of the Grand Canal in Portobello in Dublin 2. You’d be responsible for planning and delivering quality communicative lessons that engage and challenge your students. The students are adults of all ages from all over the world on both short-term and long-term courses.

What we offer…

Teachers of English to juniors (summer only)
The Atlas Junior centres in Ireland (Rathmines, Dublin 6) and in the UK (Chichester) deliver a range of courses to 11 to 17 year-olds on short summer programmes. We start recruiting for these centres from January each year.

Evening English teachers (year-round)
We run part-time General English and Cambridge English exam classes two evenings per week. The classes run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Modern Language Teachers (year-round)
We also run part-time Modern Language classes in French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Irish and Spanish. The classes run on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Atlas Professional (In-Company) Teachers (year-round)
Our Atlas Professional service offers in-company Business English and MFL classes in and around the Dublin area. The classes are offered either intensively over a short period or extensively over a longer period.

Teach at Atlas Malta

Teach learners from around the world to communicate accurately, fluently and confidently in English. We are looking for teachers who are enthusiastic, flexible, professional and dedicated team players to work at our year-round school in Pembroke, Malta.

You’d be responsible for delivering quality communicative lessons that engage and challenge your students. We recruit individual teachers year-round but also look to employ small groups of teachers on an ongoing basis during peak seasons.

What you need

  1.     Minimum level 4 English Language Teaching Qualification. Desirable: a qualification of level 5 or above e.g. CELTA / CertTESOL / DELTA / DipTESOL
  2.     A valid ELT Council Malta Teaching Permit (in possession of or prepared to obtain it)
  3.     The right to live and work in Malta

Internship

We are offering internships at our school in Malta and we are continuously looking for enthusiastic, friendly and detail-oriented interns who like to gain an insight into the running of a language school and student accommodation.

All our internship positions are long-term, i.e. you should be available 5-6 months and ideally bring the following characteristics:

-upper-intermediate to advanced English; knowledge of German, French, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
-communicative, reliable, independent and able to take initiative
-team spirit, kindness and openness towards people from all over the world
-a good eye for detail while being able to multi-task
-strong interest in working in an international environment
-permission to work in Malta
-experienced in working with Google Mail, drive, dropbox and interested in learning to use the school’s system

THE INTERNSHIP POSITIONS:

Accommodation and Hospitality Internship at Atlas Malta                                                                                                                                                                  The intern will provide support at our school and also at our student residences, looking after students regarding all aspects of their learning journey and their accommodation with us. You will be working in close cooperation with the operations team.

Administration and Social Programme Internship at Atlas Malta                                                                                                                                                    The intern will provide support at our school, looking after students regarding all aspects of their learning journey and their social programme with us. You will be working in close cooperation with the operations and academic team.

Teach at Atlas Clare!

We are looking for enthusiastic English language teachers for young international students at Atlas Language School, Clare.

Candidates should be dynamic, friendly, outgoing and fun in the classroom. It is essential to genuinely want to work with teenagers (12-17). We want our students to have a great experience in Ireland and we know that is down to the people they meet here. We are looking for teachers who are interested in continually developing and improving their teaching.

Job Type: Intermittent/variable hours; work offered a month in advance on a week by week basis, with the potential of permanent guaranteed hours in the future.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Teaching dynamic classes to international students, mostly teenagers.
  • Planning classes and updating necessary documents.
  • Working well in conjunction with the management and teaching teams.
  • Monitoring students to ensure all are present and in attendance.
  • Ancillary duties such as attending meetings and CPD sessions and keeping and maintaining various records.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Candidates should have a CELT, Cambridge CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL.
  • Candidates should have a third level degree (Level 7).
  • It is desirable that candidates have international experience of teaching English as a foreign language to teenagers in another country.
  • Applicants must have good basic computer skills as we operate a paperless office. This means being proficient in the use of Google Docs and having the capacity to learn how to use online learning platforms.
