Welcome to Atlas Junior
Atlas Junior programmes help young learners improve their English quickly while living abroad and discovering a new culture.
Students join classmates from all over the world, practise English in class and every day outside it, and come home more confident and independent. 2027 is our 20th summer of junior programmes in Dublin.

Which destination is right for my child?
Dublin suits students who love city life, museums and sport, and offers four course options including Cambridge exam preparation. Clare is a smaller, friendly town on Ireland's west coast with a choice of arts or sports. Chichester is a residential campus programme in England with trips to London, Brighton, Portsmouth and Winchester. See the comparison table above, or ask us and we'll help you choose.
What ages are the programmes for?
Atlas Junior Dublin and Atlas Junior Clare are for students aged 11 to 17. Atlas Junior Chichester is for students aged 10 to 17.
When do the programmes run in 2027?
All three start on 28 June 2027, with arrivals on Mondays. Dublin runs until 16 August, Clare until 9 August and Chichester until 26 July.
How long can my child stay?
The minimum stay is two weeks. In Dublin and Clare extra weeks can be added; in Chichester students can stay for 2, 3 or 4 weeks.
Where do students live?
In Dublin and Clare, students live with carefully selected host families with full board, including a packed lunch on school days. In Chichester, students stay in the on-campus residence at the University of Chichester with full board.
Are students supervised?
Yes. Every centre has a dedicated safeguarding and welfare team, and trained academic and activity staff supervise students throughout the programme. Full details are on each destination page.

Safeguarding
Atlas Language School has both a moral and legal responsibility to make sure that all staff who work with, or have access to, young people under the age of 18 provide them with the highest standard of care.
Atlas is committed to creating and following clear policies so that all staff, and any other adults who have regular contact with students under 18 through Atlas activities, understand and accept their responsibility to safeguard and protect them from harm or abuse.
This means that staff must follow safeguarding procedures carefully and report any concerns about a young person’s welfare to the appropriate staff members or authorities.
Atlas Language School is committed to ensuring that:
- the welfare of students under 18 is the most important priority.
- all persons under 18, whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, language, racial origin, religious beliefs and/or sexual identity have rights in general and in particular the right to protection from all types of abuse
- All concerns or reports of abuse or inappropriate behaviour will be taken seriously and dealt with quickly and properly.
- all staff are covered by this policy and all staff have a responsibility to report concerns to the appropriate person, the Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO), which will be either the Safeguarding and Welfare Officer or the Centre Manager.
- all staff receive appropriate training.
- this policy is shared with all staff, read by all staff and understood by all staff.
Atlas Language School has a duty of care to safeguard all persons under 18 from harm. All persons under 18 have a right to protection, and the needs of disabled persons under 18 and others who may be particularly vulnerable must be taken into account. Atlas Language School will ensure the safety and protection of all persons under 18 through adherence to the Child Protection guidelines adopted by Atlas Language School.
