Who is this course for?
This course is an intensive professional training course for anyone working in education who wants to understand the principles and practices and learn how to apply mindfulness and wellbeing practices for themselves and with students in the classroom. Participants will leave the course equipped with a toolkit of strategies and activities to create a sense of wellbeing both for themselves and in their school, college or university.
Format
This Mindfulness and Wellbeing in Education course can be organised as either a one-week or two-week course. Each week consists of 20 lessons, plus 5 integrated off-site activities or excursions as part of an extensive cultural and social programme.

By attending this Mindfulness and Wellbeing in Education course you will:
Methodology
This is a practical course which uses real teaching and learning examples. Participants completing the course will return home with immediate, practical ideas to implement in their own professional practice and also with their learners.
Participants are expected to actively participate in the workshops, reflecting on their own beliefs and practice, and sharing thoughts, ideas and expertise in pair work, small groups and with the class as a whole. Participants are also expected to keep a journal throughout the course and engage in critical thinking and active peer and self-evaluation throughout.
During the course participants will also take part in a range of afternoon activities where they will be encouraged to develop their language skills in a more informal environment outside the classroom and further enhance their knowledge of contemporary Ireland.

For group bookings, to ensure your course meets your development objectives, the schedule of sessions on every course is drawn up and agreed with each group of participants and Erasmus Plus coordinators on the basis of pre-course training needs analysis questionnaires.

Follow Up
Participants on the course are encouraged to keep in contact, sharing materials and experiences when back in their own classrooms.
Feedback is collected three months after course completion on the effectiveness of presented activities and how teaching practices have progressed.
