With an upcoming trip to the dentist’s in mind, I thought I’d take this opportunity to talk about teeth.  Yes, I’ll be getting at least one tooth filled, and it should have been done before Christmas last year.  So, what can we say about teeth?  Where do we find them?  Only in our mouths, or elsewhere?  Other animals have teeth, but do any objects?

The answer is, of course, yes.  What are they?  Post your ideas below.

In class the other day, we learnt the expression “to set your teeth on edge”, for that horrible feeling you get when someone drags their fingernails down a blackboard, or when a cloth is used on carpet, or the fork scrapes the plate.

Can you think of any other “teeth” or “tooth” expressions?  Just post as a comment.

Here are some examples of what is known as a “Hollywood smile”, super white and oh so sincere.
