Erasmus+ News and Updates for July
Welcome to our July newsletter! Here we dive into the vibrant world of Erasmus+ adventures and educational insights, highlighting the diverse experiences and endeavors of the past month.
Peak Erasmus+ season is upon us!
Atlas has entered the busy period for Erasmus+. Therefore, many teachers and education staff on their school holidays come to Dublin and Malta for their teacher training and intensive English courses. Also, we are delighted to receive participants from everywhere around the world! Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. Indeed, the lessons are definitely going to have an international flavour!
What is Happening in July?
Our Language, Methodology and Culture course is up and running, as is Sustainability and the Environment in Education. The first week of July saw a debut for our General English Plus for Admin course. It involves English lessons in the morning and 4 sessions across 2 afternoons. It is focused specifically on skills for administrative staff in education, such as public speaking and intercultural awareness.
As the month rolls on, our brand new Digital Transitions and English for Academics courses will begin, and we’re excited to receive our first students for them!
There are still spaces on our courses throughout July and August, so get in touch if you’d like to join us this summer!
Our intensive English courses are also happening as usual, and are available all through the year.
See our Erasmus+ web page and brochure for more details of all our courses!
In June we held a methodology webinar on the topic of ‘Connected Speech: Making your Spoken English more Natural’. Participants learned how to improve their own pronunciation. Additionally, they learned about picking up tips on how to improve their students’ pronunciation.
We’ll be holding an hour-long methodology webinar on Tuesday August 12th at 1600 Irish time (1700 CET) on the topic of ‘Making your Classroom more Inclusive for Students with Special Educational Needs’. Participants will learn how to adapt their classroom set-up and teaching methods. It will help them to cater to the needs of students with special educational needs. And this without compromising the overall learning atmosphere in the classroom. Sign up here for this.
Later in the month:
On Thursday August 14th at 1400 Irish time and 1700 Irish time we’ll be holding further info-webinars about our 2024 Erasmus+ courses. These webinars will last for between 30 and 45 minutes and will provide information about our courses, teaching methodology, activity and excursion programme, accommodation options and how to apply for Erasmus+ funding.
