“Floody Hell” said the front page headline of this morning’s Metro newspaper after yesterday’s deluge.  Rivers burst their banks, cars floated down flooded streets, and many people failed to make their way home.

Even in a city well known for being wet, this was something else.  Although, I was asked a fair question in class this morning: “How can Dublin be unprepared for rain?”  I had to concede she had a point.
