Hi Anastasiia! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from?
Hello! I am 17 and come from a small city in the west of Ukraine called Truskavets. It’s famous for its many hotels, resorts and spas. I really like it, it’s just a bit too small for me, and it doesn’t offer many job opportunities. That’s why I decided to move to a bigger city like Uzhhorod to study, situated close to the border with Slovakia… and then to Dublin.
Why did you come to Ireland?
I had visited Dublin before, thanks to an Atlas camp, but I was very young and didn’t get the chance to travel around Ireland. I fell in love with the country and decided I would come back to do that, but now I don’t want to leave anymore. I love how friendly the people are here, it seems to me that they are always smiling.
How is Dublin different from your city?
It’s completely different. Dublin is a lot cleaner and it’s way easier to make friends here, since everyone is so nice. Being a bigger city, it also offers better education and good chances to find the job of your dreams. Plus, I really like how some Irish people have red hair and freckles, I find them so adorable!
What do you like about Atlas?
I have to say I have previously attended many other language schools abroad to improve my English, but Atlas is my favourite. The classes are just big enough so you always get the chance to answer the teacher’s questions, but also meet lots of different people from all over the world, so that you can exercise your English skills at all times. The teachers are also very nice and professional, I enjoy their teaching method and I think I am already learning a lot.
If you were to recommend Atlas to your best friend, what would you say?
I would tell her that she definitely has to come to Atlas, because she will certainly improve her English here and meet tons of new friends. Also, she should make sure to visit the Cliffs of Moher, they are by far one of the most beautiful places to visit when here in Ireland.
