Amandine Merat, France
Hi Amandine! Where do you come from?
I’m from Roanne, a nice and small city in central France.
Tell us a bit about your life in your country.
I go to University in France. In my free time I like going out with my friends, I like parties and listening to music. I also enjoiy shopping!
Do you recommend visiting France?
Yes! There are a lot beautiful landscapes; the food is very good, and there are many good cities to visit! We also have beautiful beaches in France.
Why did you choose to study English in Dublin?
I chose Dublin because it’s a tourist city and there are a lot of things to do. I like going to pubs and shopping and Dublin is perfect to do this. It’s a very beautiful city, too and I love walking in the city centre.
What do you think about the weather?
It’s strange, because in one minute it’s raining and in the next minute it’s sunny. But it’s not as bad as I thought.
What do you think of Atlas?
Atlas is a great school, I’m learning a lot of things and there are a lot of people from different places. The teachers are native speakers of English and this is better to learn fast.
Do you have any advice for students who are new to Dublin?
Go to pubs, don’t be afraid to talk to people here and never forget your umbrella!
